Avila Naturalle’s selection is a testament to the company’s commitment to quality and excellence in the production of natural and sustainable products and its capacity and readiness to harness the opportunities of the intra-Africa transborder trade through the AfCFTA Guided Trade Initiative. This is premised on the company’s position as a leading manufactural of genuinely natural skincare products in Africa, with over 400 products within its product portfolio spread across different products category including African Black Soaps, Body Butters, Body Oils, Body Moisturizers, Face Creams, Serums, Baby Care and Bar Soaps.

This milestone shipment marks a significant step forward in the implementation of the AfCFTA, which aims to promote intra-African trade and economic integration.

Speaking at the inaugural Shipping event which took place at the Lagos port on Tuesday, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was ably represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Gearge Akume said the Initiative will revolutionize the continent’s economic landscape in line with the Renew Hope Agenda of his administration which is centered around economic development and the people.

“Every Nigerian business can benefit from this Agreement. Government will provide the necessary support to facilitate the success of the AfCFTA Guided Trade Initiative as we embark on this journey toward economic transformation. The journey to prosperity has just begun”, he stated.

Speaking during the event which also witness the presentation of Certificate of Origin to the pioneer exporters, President/CEO of Avila Naturalle Limited, Dr. Mrs Temitope Mayegun said the Nigeria’s inaugural shipping through the AfCFTA Guided Trade Initiative is a significant milestone both for Avila Naturalle and Nigeria.

“We are honoured and excited to be part of this historic moment in the development of trade in Africa. Our participation in this shipment demonstrates our dedication to expanding our reach and sharing our natural and sustainable products with a wider audience across the continent of Africa.”

“With this inaugural shipping, Avila Naturalle aims to penetrate the African continental market expansively through our extensive distribution network and collaboration with new international sales partners. We are embarking on what I will describe as an exciting new chapter, redefining the natural skincare terrain as part of our strategic business direction that emphasizes productivity and international expansion”, she noted.

The initial shipment, which includes a range of Avila Naturalle’s popular products, is expected to arrive in Kenya within the next few weeks. This development is expected to strengthen trade relations between Nigeria and Kenya and pave the way for increased economic cooperation between both nations and subsequently across other nations of Africa.
