8 Foundations of Healthy Skincare Rookies Abuse

  1. Introduction
  2.  8 foundations of healthy skincare rookies abuse
  3. Conclusion

You know how freshmen usually look in the university now. They always look curious, lost, happy to finally be in school, and ever ready to jump on any recommendation of how their school journey can be smooth. It’s a whole mix of feelings! Just like freshmen in universities, skincare rookies are always enthusiastic and ready to take every skincare advice and product recommendation. Sigh!

Most skincare rookies are always tossed here and there because of their limited knowledge about skincare products. Well, it is a normal occurrence bound to happen to certain freshmen in skincare. I dedicate this write-up to every skincare rookie struggling to navigate the skincare world. Avila Naturalle is here for you. We can help you find the right product without stressing you out one bit.

You must know already that finding the right product for your skin in the year 2024 is no easy feat. Several products are on the market claiming to give you the best result, but most of them are just capping, which means they are selling you a lie. So don’t go ahead and jump on every skincare product you see in the market. They might damage your skin, which is not encouraging for your newly embarked journey. Say after me, “I am as calm as a dove.” Be a dove, not a freshman!

So, Freshmen, sorry Doves! Are you with me? Let’s get into it.

Here are 8 foundations for healthy skin you are abusing as a skincare rookie:

  1. Sufficient Knowledge about Skincare: I know you are a freshman in skincare, but you do not want to remain one forever, do you? Lots of skincare rookies skip gaining knowledge about the skincare products on the market. They proceed on a skincare expedition without doing prior research about skincare in general. Firstly, you want to know about your skin type and the skincare products that suit your skin type before getting any products. Some freshmen might resort to buying some recommended products without knowing they are harmful to the skin. The best step to take in this situation is to do your research on purely natural skincare products on the market to separate harmful products from safe and natural ones. This can serve as a foundational step in sorting your list of interested skincare products for your skin type.

2. Selecting the Right Skincare Products in the Market: We must cater for our skin, so it is okay to love skincare. However, you have to draw the line when it comes to being lured by various skincare products and buying them to avoid getting the wrong ones. This does not negate the place of advice on skincare choices; it is highly recommended, but seeing every skincare product and thinking, “This should work for my skin,” might be an unavoidable trap you are setting for yourself. This way, you can easily get damaging skincare products that will harm your skin.

3. Inclusive Skincare Routine: skincare products do not cater to your skin alone. Personal hygiene, diet, and application of skincare products play a vital role in your skin health. Skipping baths, eating unhealthily, and applying your skincare products wrongly can hinder the effectiveness of products, and lots of consumers transfer this fault to the brand. In essence, the brand might not be a scam; you just might be doing it wrong. Taking regular baths, eating healthily, and following the instructions for the application of skincare will give you a wholesome result in your skincare journey.

4. Consistency and Patience: I believe lack of patience in skincare is a habit that was passed down to us, but we do not have to follow this pattern because skincare requires patience and consistency. This abuse is due to the knowledge that skin bleaching products have unconsciously transferred to us in their usual catchphrases like “whiten within 7 days.” You need patience and consistency to see the results of your skincare. Besides, skincare isn’t magic; it is a lifelong commitment!

5. Skin Peculiarity: You might be navigating your path in the world of skincare, and the last thing you want to do is compare your skin type, tone, or texture to anyone else’s. It is okay to have a skincare goal, but comparing your skin with other people’s skin is not healthy for your skin and mind. This could encourage the introduction of harmful skincare products into your skincare routine.

6. Confidence: skincare rookies suffering from skin conditions like acne may lack confidence in their skin, thereby accepting every skin product recommendation, whether good or bad, which in most cases worsens the skin condition, leading to decreased self-esteem.

7. Wholesome Skincare Routine: Freshmen tend to ignore certain products in their skincare routine and yet expect the same result as people using complete skincare products. Mostly, the skincare rookie might possess a regular wash and face cream. Every skincare rookie must have natural and safe skincare products such as face wash, body wash, face cleanser, face toner, serum, face cream, night cream, body moisturisers, and sunscreen to have desirable skin. Each step in the skincare routine is crucial to having healthier-looking skin.

8. Using Sufficient Products: As much as you want to have wholesome skincare, you do not want to overuse skincare products due to their impact on the skin. Using too many products on the skin can result in breakouts, redness, dryness, and so on. It is great to take one step at a time instead of bombarding your skin with too much skincare product, hence confusing your skin cells.

I believe that at this point you should refer to yourself as a dove and not a freshman because you have the knowledge to have healthy skin.

It is not a crime to be a skincare rookie, but it is a crime to read this write-up and remain one. Remember to always research the skincare brand you choose before purchasing any of their skincare products. It is the most important step toward richer and healthier skin.
