This week we will be addressing some of the most frequently asked questions by our customers. Part of which is if our body butter or moisturizer can be a substitute for Face cream.

Well, it’s normal to wonder why it can’t be used on the face since it works perfectly for the body.

The skin on your face is totally different from the rest of your body, hence we advise that when it comes to the face, and you desire a radiant and smooth face, it is best to use our face cream.

The facial skin is usually thinner than every part of the body, with more oil glands and hair follicles which makes the facial skin to be more sensitive.

When it comes to face moisturizing one needs to be extra careful as the face is always exposed and more delicate than other part of the skin so it requires more protection, hence the need for face cream and also a serum.

We at Avila naturalle have face cream that is formulated just for you, coupled with our powerful serums.

So body butters or body moisturizers can’t replace face cream, kindly get a face cream.

Is there a difference in Skin Lightening and Brightening?

by May 1, 2021

Thatโ€™s why we have choosen to talk about it today.

๐‘ณ๐‘ฐ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฏ๐‘ป๐‘ฌ๐‘ต๐‘ฐ๐‘ต๐‘ฎ is reducing pigmentations whilst ๐‘ฉ๐‘น๐‘ฐ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฏ๐‘ป๐‘ฌ๐‘ต๐‘ฐ๐‘ต๐‘ฎ is increasing the defiance and glow of the skin..

Lightening has to do with discoloration and evening out of the skin tone.
Brightening is more about restoring vibrancy to the skin.

๐‘ณ๐‘ฐ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฏ๐‘ป๐‘ฌ๐‘ต๐‘ฐ๐‘ต๐‘ฎ: This is the process of reducing hyperpigmentation from sun damage , and inhibiting melanin production .

๐‘ฉ๐‘น๐‘ฐ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฏ๐‘ป๐‘ฌ๐‘ต๐‘ฐ๐‘ต๐‘ฎ: This is the process of improving dull lackluster skin, improving skinโ€™s radiance and making the skin glow.
Many people may use these terms interchangeably but they donโ€™t mean the same thing .

This means that when we refer to BRIGHTENING with #AvilaNaturalle products, we donโ€™t mean lightening.
We pride ourselves on our honesty and the safety of the skin.
Meaning if a product has lightening properties, we will always share it as one of the qualities.

Please letโ€™s know if you found this helpful and share it with anyone who might need to read this too.

What is the difference between skin purging and reacting?

by April 29, 2021

๐‘บ๐‘ท๐‘ถ๐‘ป๐‘บ after using a new product!!!

I know you definitely want to stop using it right away and never lay hands on it againโ€ฆ. but when it comes to the science of the skin, in most cases, itโ€™s not that youโ€™re breaking out, but rather youโ€™re experiencing โ€œSKIN PURGINGโ€.

This is when you use a product that increases the skinโ€™s renewal factor , causing any acne that lays dormant under the layers of the skin to come out sooner as the cells are turning over at a quicker rate.
You will usually experience whiteheads or pustule while your skin is purging.

This usually last between 6-8weeks, (depending on the skin type) however you should see a difference within the first circle (28days).

If the new product you are using does not have active ingredients that would encourage cell turnover, then it is not purging and likely due to another factor that is creating clogged pores.

Purging should also not be confused with an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction will look red, bumpy, scaly and they are classically itchy.

You can build up the skin to the ingredients by easing into the method and applying it twice a week for the first week then gradually increase usage.

Here is why sweating is good for your skin

by April 27, 2021

When it comes to skin health, sweating actually helps a lot. When you sweat, it opens up your pores and pushes out built-up gunks sitting right underneath your skin.

This is the same build-up that often produces pimples/acne. So sweating basically cleanses your pores naturally, which helps you avoid getting unsightly blemishes on your skin.

Sweat is good for the skin. Water hydrates, minerals and salt naturally exfoliate, and urea and uric acid combat dry skin and dermatitis.

In addition to preventing zits, sweating also helps prevent rashes and irritated skin โ€” both of which are often caused when built-up grime settles back into your pores.

You should try on a regular basis to get some sweat off your skin.
So weather youโ€™re exercising or doing a facial steam, youโ€™re doing your SKIN some good.

Just donโ€™t let the sweat sit on your FACE for too long, because then youโ€™d be putting those grimes (dirts) right back in.

Be sure to use a face wipe/towel during and after a workout.

We have read through all the comments on our recent Instagram post titled ” What is your skin concern?”.and we promise to address every skin concern stated.

Pores are openings in the skin that release sweat and sebum, they become enlarged from the excessive production of oil, reduced elasticity as a result of skin aging, e.t.c.
Genetics or Heredity is also a cause of large-looking open pores. So in other news, the appearance of our pores is a part of our genetic makeup.
Skin scientists said we have about 20,000 pores on our faces, but their size and shape are as diverse as our bodies.
Enlarged pores can be a result of many factors, ranging from the collection of oils to dirt and makeup build-up on the skin’s surface, these impurities can easily sink into pores and get lodged there. This clog effectively stretches the skin around the pores and enlarges it.

Age can also be the felon that contributes to enlarged pores, because the older we get, the more the skin evolves, collagen production is reduced, resulting in reduced elasticity which can make pores more visible.
Then the question is, How best can one deal with Enlarged Pores? What products can we use to shrink them and what skincare routine does one have to follow?

Here are a few steps to follow to minimize the appearance of large-looking pores.

Cleansing is a very important step to start with when trying to shrink pores, cleansers help to minimize the appearance of pores, wiping off all impurities that have landed on the face all through the day.
Using Avila Naturalle Tea Tree cleanser is very effective for someone with active oil glands as it will help to prevent extra oil from getting into your pores while helping to draw out dirt and impurities.

Oftentimes the pores are enlarged due to the fact that we omit masking in our skincare routine, to minimize enlarged pores, one needs to mask a minimum of 1-2 times a week. We suggest you try Avila Hibiscus Clay Mask or any of the face masks. Avila masks will help to weed out old skin cells and oil and grime from pores, revealing a more refined-looking complexion.

3. TONE:
The power of toners for any oily skin type cannot be undermined, and most importantly should not be missing in the skincare regimen of someone with enlarged pores. Avila Naturalle Toners help to remove excess oil from the skin after youโ€™ve cleansed, so they are an integral part of a good skincare routine. With Avila Toners, residual makeup and grime is helped out of the pores and the skin is revealed to be clearer-looking and refreshed.

In as much as one will want to avoid moisturizing the face because of the fear of sweating and causing more breakouts. Gel Moisturizers are the Best Facial Moisturizers for people with oily skin types and those trying to keep enlarged pores at bay.

The New Avila Face Gel comes in 4 variants, Rose Face Gel, Blackseed Face Gel, Turmeric Face Gel, and Vitamin C Face Gel.
They are all about helping to keep your natural oils at a good level, reducing the chances of revving up your sebum production and your pores getting clogged (and so appearing larger). The Avila Face Gel is best for moisturizing and making pores seem less visible. Enriched with natural ingredients, it helps the skin to stay hydrated for up to 24 hours, reducing the appearance of imperfections and oiliness. It is a non-comedogenic base for makeup to boot.

Go now and deal with those pores.
We hope this has been helpful.

How many minutes should I spend cleansing my face?

by November 14, 2020

The amount of time you should spend cleansing your face which is the first step of your skincare regimen should be 60 seconds.

This ensures the ingredients of the soap have time to work and wash away the excess oil (sebum) and dirt from your face.

Most people typically only spend 10-15 seconds on their whole faceโ€ฆ which isnโ€™t enough time to cleanse the face properly.

How long do you spend cleansing? do let us know in the comment section.

Three Things you should not apply on your face.

by November 9, 2020

In a world full of harmful chemical-based skincare products, beauty tricks, DIYs, etc., itโ€™s only normal that you get tempted and give these above-mentioned things a try. Although the increasing awareness about the chemicals present in skincare products may have made women resort to natural DIYs more often, not all of them are deemed to be safe. Whether you choose harmful chemical-based skincare products or not โ€“ you must know what is good for your face and whatโ€™s not!

Below is a list of things you think might help you achieve clear SKIN but are WRONG and UNHEALTHY:

1. Rubbing alcohol :
We rub alcohol on our faces through the toners and astringent we use, because most of them often contain alcohol in it, and it gives the same feeling as rubbing alcohol on your skin.
Unfortunately what it does is, it rubs off all the oil on your skin.

Those who have really oily skin, acne-prone skin, excess sebum, may think that rubbing alcohol and astringent may get rid of them, but what happens is, it gets rid of the oil temporarily then when your skin realizes itโ€™s missing oil then it creates more oil in response.

You can make use of our Toners. They work wonders to shrink pores, minimize acne, and balance pH levels. They boost your beauty routine and provide you with the healthy skin you crave. They also reduce pores and keeps the blackheads away as well as boost hydration.

Avila Face toner comes in four variants:
*Rosewater face toner #1500

*Hibiscus face toner #1500

*Calendula face toner #1500

*Lemon Face toner #1500

*Rice Water Toner #1500

2. Petroleum jelly: this for most people has been seen as the ultimate natural moisturizer because we have seen our mothers and grandmothers use it either on their lips, hands, and faces.

But PETROLEUM jelly was actually discovered from the bottom of petroleum barrels, and that is not something you want to apply on your face because It can clog your pores, which makes it a NO-NO, especially for acne-prone skin.

3. Semen: oh yes semen! There are sperm facials that are very popular and people spend hundreds of dollars on it. Thereโ€™s this belief that applying semen or sperm to your skin is really beneficial and good for it, the reality is probably far from that.

People say it contains a lot of antioxidants and protein. The thing with semen and sperm basically is that it can sometimes contain sexually transmitted diseases and this can be transmitted through mucous membranes found in the lips, nostrils, and eyes. STIs such as herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea can be transmitted in this way.

The eyes are particularly vulnerable. Ocular herpes, for example, can cause inflammation and even vision loss.

I donโ€™t think this is what we want to use as part of our skincare regimen .

If you found this educating, do let us know in the comment section.

Which of these have you been applying on your skin?

Please note that our products are purely natural as we do not include bleaching ingredients. Hence, thereโ€™s a need for consistency and patience while using our products.
